The SCMEA Choral Division provides leadership and assistance for the development of choral music programs in the schools, colleges, and universities of South Carolina. We work annually to conduct activities that will enrich the choral music programs in South Carolina and provide leadership and assistance for the implementation of music education programs across South Carolina. Our members consist of SCMEA members in good standing who are currently teaching or administering a choral/vocal program at the Collegiate, High School or Middle School level including a general music program.
Leadership of the organization comes from this membership and the elected officers of the Choral Division consist of a President, President-elect, Immediate Past President to serve as Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer. Appointed officers are the All State chairperson, All-State Audition chairperson, All-State Weekend coordinators, Middle School chairperson, College chairperson, Solo and Ensemble chairperson, High School Choral Performance Assessment chairperson, Middle School Choral Performance Assessment chairperson, and Region Choir chairperson.
